Nasa PhP40,780,000.00 halaga ng marijuana ang binunot at winasak sa tatlong araw na joint operation ng PNP-PDEA sa magkakaibang areas sa Mt. Chumanchil, Brgy. Loccong Tinglayan, Kalinga Province.

Sa inilabas na pahayag ng PNP nitong Mayo 9, nagresulta ang eradication operation sa pagkakasabat sa nasa 2,400 pcs fully grown marijuana plants (FGMP) sa isang 300 sqm land area; 82,000 pcs FGMP sa 8,200 sqm na land area; 4,000 pcs FGMP sa 400 sqm na isa pang land area; 165 kilos marijuana dried leaves; 60 kilos marijuana seeds; at 15 kilos marijuana stalks.

“Marijuana eradication is a continuous effort to clear drug-affected areas in the mountainous areas of Cordillera region and other parts of the country,” pahayag ni PNP Chief PGEN Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar.
