PACC MAGSASAMPA NA NG KASO LABAN SA MGA OPISYAL NA SANGKOT SA KORAPSYON

Nakahanda nang magsampa ng kaso ang Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) sa Ombudsman laban sa mga opisyal ng pamahalaan na umano’y sangkot sa korapsyon.

Ayon kay PACC Chairman Greco Belgica sa isang Laging Handa forum kahapon, Abril 27, hinihintay na lamang nila ang muling pagbubukas ng Office of the Ombudsman sa susunod na linggo upang magsampa ng kaso laban sa mga opisyal kung saan kabilang umano ang isang presidential appointee, assistant secretary, regional director, at regional officers.

“Kami po ay nakahanda nang magsampa ng kaso laban sa mga matataas na official ng gobyerno, may presidential appointee,” saad ni Belgica. “This is the result of the intensified campaign of President [Rodrigo Duterte] against corruption na amin pong ipinatutupad.”

Gayunpaman, hindi binanggit ni Belgica ang pangalan ng mga opisyal. 

Dagdag pa niya, may marangyang pamumuhay ang mga opisyal na hindi tugma sa kanilang nakatalagang sahod. Aniya, nawawalan ang pamahalaan ng ilang milyong piso na maaari sanang ilaan at gamitin ng bansa sa kasalukuyang pandemya. 

“Mayroon ditong kaso na isasampa namin, hopefully next week kapag open po ng Ombudsman ay involves hundreds of millions of pesos. It’s a billion dollar industry actually na because of corruption, you know taxes are lost sa ating pamahalaan na puwede sanang ibigay for Covid response, ayuda,” saad ni Belgica.

Bumuo din umano ang kanyang opisina ng Task Force Lifestyle Check upang obserbahan ang pamumuhay ng mga opisyal na sangkot umano sa mga alegasyong ito. 

“We are organizing the Task Force Lifestyle Check. Ito po ay isang authority ng PACC na gagamitin namin ngayon against officials na, ‘yun bang laging sinusumbong, ang dami-daming sinusumbong pero ang hirap prodyusan ng mga ebidensya dahil ganyan po ang corruption talagang tagung-tago iyan,” dagdag niya.
