Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) ang mahigit 196 tableta ng “party drugs” o ecstasy at 151 gramong crystal o powder nito ngayong araw, Oktubre 16, sa Central Mail Exchange Center na idineklarang “keychains” sa pakete.

Tinatayang nagkakahalagang PhP750,000.00 ang paketeng ipinadala diumano ng isang “Jansen J.J.K.” mula Amersfoort, Netherlands papuntang Cebu.

Nasa kamay na ngayon ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency ang iligal na droga para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon ng paglabag sa RA 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act at Sec. 1401 (unlawful importation) ng RA 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

Mula Enero ngayong taon, alinsunod sa kampanya laban sa iligal na droga ni BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, naharang na ng Port of NAIA ang 41 shipments ng mga iligal na droga kung saan 13 sa mga ito ay ecstasy na may street value na PhP40.4M.
