PALASYO 24/7 NAKATUTOK SA BAGYONG ULYSSES

Mahigpit na tinututukan ng Palasyo ang pagkilos ni Bagyong Ulysses, lalo pa’t itinaas na ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) sa Signal No. 3 ang ilang lugar sa bansa.  

Ayon sa pahayag na inilabas ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, suspendido ang klase sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa lahat ng antas, maging ang trabaho sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno sa Regions II, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, Cordillera Administrative Region, at National Capital Region mula ngayong hapon, 3 P.M. hanggang bukas, Nobyembre 12, alinsunod na rin sa rekomendasyon ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). 

Nakasalalay naman sa desisyon ng mga pribadong kumpanya at paaralan ang pagsuspinde sa kani-kanilang mga klase at pasok sa trabaho.

Ayon pa kay Sec. Roque, mahigpit na nakatutok ang mga ahensya ng gobyernong may mandatong magbantay sa kaligtasan ng ating mga kababayan sa oras ng kalamidad.

Patuloy aniya ang pamamahagi ng relief goods, mga suplay, at gamot para sa pangangailangan ng mga pamilyang apektado ng Bagyong Ulysses.

Sa pangunguna ng Department of Social Welfare and Development, nakapamahagi ngayong araw ng family food packs sa ilang lugar, katuwang ang local government units (LGUs), Philippine Coast Guard, at civilian volunteers.

Tuluy-tuloy rin ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng NDRRMC Operations Center sa LGUs at sa regional disaster risk reduction and management councils nito upang mabantayan ang pagkilos ng bagyo.

“We ask the residents of areas that will be affected to regularly monitor and follow weather advisories and government announcements, secure their house and vehicle, cooperate with authorities when an evacuation notice is issued, postpone travels to avoid getting stranded and stay indoors to avoid injuries from flying debris,” paalala pa ni Roque sa kanyang pahayag.

Kasalukuyang nakataas ang Signal No. 3 sa Metro Manila; katimugan ng Aurora, at Nueva Ecija; silangang bahagi ng Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal; hilaga at sentrong bahagi ng Quezon; at maging sa Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, at hilagang bahagi ng Camarines Sur.
