Hinikayat ng Palasyo ang PhilHealth nitong Lunes na hayaang tumulong ang Development Bank of the Philippines upang mapabilis ang paglabas ng reimbursement para sa mga ospital.
“Talagang hindi katanggap-tanggap na natatagalan ang reimbursement. Although nagbayad ng 9 billion recently ang PhilHealth, apparently hindi ito sapat or baka hindi na talaga na-release,” pahayag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
“Maybe it is time for PhilHealth to look into DBP’s suggestion that it will [pay in] advance [the] hospitals’ receivables subject to submission of documents. They just have to agree which documents are needed to be submitted,” dagdag pa niya.
Ayon kay Sec. Roque, umaapela na umano ang mga pribadong ospital sa PhilHealth na bilisan ang reimbursement ng mga ito sa kabila ng pandemya sapagkat gagamitin din ang pondong ito sa iba pang pasyente ng COVID-19.
Bagama’t wala pa itong basbas ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, naniniwala si Sec. Roque na kailangang matugunan na ang isyung ito sa lalong madaling panahon.
“Importante na ang mga pangangailangan ng private hospitals ay ma-release ng PhilHealth… ang buong scheme ng universal healthcare, government talaga ang single purchaser of goods, services,” ani Sec. Roque.
