Wala umanong special treatment na ibibigay sa pamilya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kahit umano isa sa mga prayoridad na makatanggap ng bakuna ang Pangulo, ayon sa Palasyo.

Nilinaw ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na prayoridad na mabigyan ng bakuna ang Pangulo dahil kabilang na umano ito sa senior citizens at importante rin umanong maipakita na ligtas at walang dapat ikapangamba ang publiko sa pagpapabakuna.

“Inaasahan natin na isa siya [President] sa pinakauna [mabakunahan], whether it is done publicly or privately, that will be his decision,” pahayag ni Sec. Roque.

Dagdag pa niya, “Ang First family po, unless mayroong comorbidity, ay hindi talaga sila mabibigyan ng prayoridad.”

Subalit inamin ni Sec. Roque na malaking tulong din umano upang maiangat ang vaccine confidence ng publiko kung maisasapubliko rin ang pagbabakuna sa mga anak ng Pangulo na sina Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Davao City Vice Mayor Sebastian Duterte, at Davao City First District Rep. Paolo Duterte.

“Dahil public officials ang mga anak ng ating Pangulo, baka naman makipagtulungan din sila para maboost ang vaccine confidence pero wala pang petsa kung kailan at kung sila ay papayag na mabakunahan,” paglilinaw ni Sec. Roque.

Sa kasalukuyan, natukoy na ng gobyerno ang mga prayoridad na makakatanggap ng unang batch ng bakunang paparating sa bansa ngayong buwan. Idinagdag din sa listahang ito ang ibang sektor tulad ng mga guro, social at government workers, gayundin ang overseas Filipino workers.
