PAMAHALAAN IIMBESTIGAHAN ANG MGA OSPITAL NA HINDI NAGBIBIGAY NG REGULAR NA COVID-19 TESTS SA HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Nagbabala ang Malacañang nitong Huwebes, Abril 15, 2021, na magsasagawa ang pamahalaan ng imbestigasyon sa mga ospital na hindi tumatalima sa utos nito na magsagawa ng regular na COVID-19 tests sa healthcare workers.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, maaaring panagutin ang mga ospital na lumalabag sa naturang kautusan.

“Ang mandatory testing ng workers na regular is provided in a DOH (Department of Health) issuance. So, kung merong paglabag diyan, ipagbigay-alam lang po natin sa DOH at papaimbestigahan natin kung sino ang mga health facilities [na] hindi nagbibigay ng mandated na regular testing for health workers,” pahayag ng tagapagsalita ng Pangulo.

Ang issuance na binanggit ng opisyal ay ang Department Memorandum 2020-0546 ng DOH na nag-uutos sa lahat ng mga pampubliko at pampribadong ospital at mga pasilidad pangkalusugan na siguruhing mayroong testing services para sa lahat ng healthcare workers na nakakahalubilo iyong mga indibidwal na hinihinala, may posibilidad na nahawa, o kumpirmadong may COVID-19. Kinakailangang bigyang-prayoridad ang healthcare workers na kabilang sa suspected cases.

“Iyan po ay benepisyo na binigay na ng gobyerno sa ating health workers. Actionable po ‘yan, ibig sabihin, pwedeng magkaroon po ng pananagutan ang ospital na hindi po nagpapatupad niyan,” dagdag pa ni Roque.

Ayon naman kay Health Undersecretary Rosario Vergeire, nararapat na sumailalim sa COVID-19 test ang health workers na nag-aalaga ng mga pasyenteng may COVID-19 kada dalawang linggo. Subalit, maaari namang magsagawa ng buwanang pagsusuri ang mga ospital na may limitadong mga pasilidad upang maiwasan ang pagkahawa mula sa virus.

Hinihikayat ang healthcare workers na ipagbigay-alam sa DOH ang mga ospital na hindi nagsasagawa ng mandatory COVID-19 tests. Maaaring tumawag sa DOH COVID-19 Hotline 1555, o magpadala ng mensahe sa email address ng DOH Complaints Handling Unit na dohpau.chu@gmail.com.
