Pampublikong sasakyan, balik-pasada na sa Metro Manila

Balik-pasada na muli ang mga pampublikong sasakyan matapos isailalim sa General Community Quarantine ang Metro Manila simula ngayong Agosto 19.

Sa ulat ng Department of Transportation (DOTr), bibiyahe na ulit ang Metro Rail Transit Line 3, Light Rail Transit Lines 1 at 2, at ang Philippine National Railways.

Aarangkada na rin ang mga public utility vehicles sa mga rutang inaprubahan ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). 

Ayon sa LTFRB, 12,443 na tradisyunal na jeepneys ang pinayagang pumasada sa 126 na bagong ruta habang 716 na modern jeepneys naman ang papasada sa 45 na ruta sa Metro Manila.

Papasada naman sa 51 na ruta ang 1,621 UV Express at may 3,662 bus ang nabigyan ng permiso na pumasada sa 31 na ruta. Nabigyan din ng permiso ang 364 units ng point-to-point buses, 20,493 taxis, at 23,776 transport network vehicle service units tulad ng Grab.

Pinayagan na rin ang ilang domestic flights sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport, ngunit paglilinaw ng DOTr nakadepende ito sa umiiral na quarantine restrictions ng lokal na pamahalaan kung saan naroroon ang paliparan.

Paalala naman ng DOTr, mahigpit pa ring ipinatutupad sa parehong operators at pasahero ang pagsunod sa minimum health standards katulad ng pagsusuot ng face mask at face shield, pagsasagawa ng temperature check, at regular na pag-disinfect ng sasakyan upang makontrol ang pagkalat ng virus.

Dagdag pa rito, hindi rin maaaring magsalita at gumamit ng cell phone at iba pang gadgets habang nasa loob ng pampasaherong sasakyan at hindi umano pahihintulutang makasakay ang sinumang lalabag dito.
