PANGULONG DUTERTE, INAPRUBAHAN NA ANG 2020 INVESTMENT PRIORITIES PLAN

Inaprubahan na ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte kahapon ang 2020 Investment Priorities Plan (IPP) ng Board of Investments (BOI) na naglalaman ng listahan ng mga prayoridad na programa at aktibidad na maaaring bigyan ng insentibo ng pamahalaan partikular na ang mga proyektong may kinalaman kontra COVID-19, gayundin ang Balik Probinsya program.

Sa ilalim ng Memorandum Order No. 50, sinasaklaw ng IPP ang produksyon ng gamot, medical equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), at iba pang mahahalagang gamit medikal. Kasama rin dito ang probisyon ng mga serbisyo tulad ng mga laboratoryo, ospital, test facilities, quarantine facilities, health waste treatment, at iba pa.

Sinusuportahan din ng pamahalaan ang mga programang makapagbibigay ng oportunidad sa trabaho sa labas ng syudad tulad ng Balik Probinsya program na naglalayong i-decongest ang Metro Manila sa pamamagitan ng paghikayat sa mga tao, partikular na ang mga informal settlers, na bumalik sa kani-kanilang probinsya.

Kabilang din sa investment activities na kasama rito ay sa ilalim ng sektor ng agrikultura, pangingisda, imprastraktura, mass housing, disaster risk reduction management, at iba pa.

Bukod dito, nakapaloob din sa IPP ang listahan ng investment activities para sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Kapag naging epektibo na ang IPP, ang lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno ay inaasahang magiging isa sa implementasyon ng mga regulasyon nito.

Sa ilalim ng MO No. 50, ang BOI ay responsible sa paninigurong ang pagbibigay ng insentibo ay nakahanay sa mga patakaran na nakasaad sa Republic Act 11469 o Bayanihan to Recover as One Act.
