Nasa 55 pinakabagong benepisyaryo ng Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa (BP2) Program ang pabalik na ng Leyte nito lamang Mayo 27 mula BP2 Depot sa Quezon Ave. cor. Agham Rd., QC.

Bago bumiyahe ay sumailalim muna ang mga benepisyaryo sa COVID-19 swab test

Sa kabuuang 61 na naitalang biyahero, 6 ang nagpositibo sa COVID-19.

Samantala, habang nasa depot ay kumpleto naman ng pagkain at pansamantalang matutulugan ang mga benepisyaryo ng BP2.

Inaasahang darating sa Tacloban City, Leyte ang mga ito ng Mayo 28 kung saan nakaantabay ang LGU.

Matatandaan na sinuspinde ang operasyon ng BP2 noong Hunyo 2020 para bigyang daan ang pagpapauwi sa mga stranded na indibidwal gawa ng COVID-19. Ngunit nitong Abril 2021, nakapagpadala muli ang programa ng mga benepisyaryo nito sa Camarines Sur.

Sa ilalim ng EO No. 114, s. 2020, layon ng BP2 na paluwagin ang Maynila sa pamamagitan ng pag-udyok sa publiko, lalo na sa informal settlers, na bumalik sa kani-kanilang probinsya gamit ang ilang insentibo sa transportasyon, hanapbuhay, edukasyon, pabahay, atbp. na paabot-tulong ng nasyonal na pamahalaan.
