PHILHEALTH NAKAPAGBAYAD NA NG P700M SA RED CROSS

Inanunsyo kamakailan ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) na umabot na sa P700 milyon ang naibayad nila sa Philippine Red Cross (PRC) at kasalukuyang nasa P377 milyon na lamang ang kanilang balanse.

Noong Oktubre 30, nagsagawa ang PhilHealth ng partial payment na may halagang P100 milyon, at nitong Nobyembre 5, muling nagbayad ng P100 milyon.

Ayon kay PhilHealth President Dante Gierran, karamihan sa ibinayad nilang ito ay para sa reimbursement ng isinagawang COVID-19 tests para sa mga Overseas Filipino Workers.

“(PhilHealth) fast tracks validation of claims to reimburse COVID-19 tests done by the PRC in support of the Government’s campaign to curb the effect of the pandemic particularly to OFWs,” pahayag ni PhilHealth President Gierran.

Ayon din kay PhilHealth Spokesperson Rey Baleña, maglalabas ang ahensya ng P100 milyon kada linggo upang agad na mabayaran ang natitirang utang nito sa Red Cross.

Nagpasalamat din si Baleña sa pagsasagawang muli ng libreng swab test ng Red Cross matapos makapagbayad ang kanilang ahensya ng P500 milyon noong Oktubre 27.

Matatandaang iginiit ni PRC Chairperson Senator Richard Gordon na mabilis maubos ang nakalaang pondo para sa COVID-19 testing dahil na rin sa libu-libong samples na kanilang sinusuri at aniya, lolobong muli ang utang ng PhilHealth kung hindi agad mababayaran ang natitirang balanse nito.
