PHP 100M HALAGA NG MGA PEKENG BAG AT GAMOT, NASAMSAM: BOC

Iniulat ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) kahapon ang pagkakasamsam ng mga pekeng bag at gamot na nagkakahalaga ng Php100 milyon sa  isang storage facility sa Tondo noong Enero 25.

Ang grupo ay pinangunahan ng Manila International Container Port sa pamamagitan ng letter of authority na inilabas ni Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero. 

Ininspeksyon ang pasilidad kung saan tumambad ang mga bag na nagdadala ng ilang sikat na pangalan tulad ng Louis Vuitton, Gucci, at Chanel. 

Nakuha rin mula rito ang mga hindi rehistradong face shields, face masks, at pekeng mga gamot at sabon.

Kabilang sa face masks na nasamsam ay galing sa brand na AIDELAI na nauna nang ipagbawal ng Food and Drug Administration ayon sa Advisory No. 2021-0011 nito. 

Patuloy ang pagsasagawa ng inventory at imbestigasyon para sa pagkakakilanlan ng mga responsable at pagsasampa ng kaso para sa paglabag ng RA 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) at ng Intellectual Property Law ng bansa. 

Ang operasyon ay isinagawa sa pakikipagtulungan sa National Bureau of Investigation at Philippine Coast Guard.
