“PILIPINAS KONTRA GUTOM” INILUNSAD NA

Pinangunahan ni Inter-Agency Task Force Zero Hunger Chairperson Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles ang virtual launch para sa pormal na paglulunsad kahapon ng “Pilipinas Kontra Gutom,” isang samahang naglalayong unti-unting sugpuin ang gutom sa bansa.

Ang iba’t ibang ahensiya ng gobyerno mula sa iba’t ibang sektor, non-profit organizations, at mga pribadong korporasyon ay magtutulung-tulong upang solusyunan ang gutom sa Pilipinas at tukuyin ang mga hamon sa produksyon at distribusyon ng pagkain, malnutrisyon, at iba pa.

Ayon kay Nograles, ipagpapatuloy ng anti-hunger task force ang adbokasiya nito upang mapagtibay ang national food policy at makamtan ng bansa ang layunin nito na zero hunger at poverty sa 2030.

Nanawagan din ang kalihim na makiisa ang lahat ng organisasyon at bawat Pilipino sa layuning ito.

“This movement calls on all organizations and each and every Filipino to help our fellow Filipinos. Lahat kasali, lahat kasalo. Everyone must be involved and everyone must contribute so everyone will be able to partake of a meal so we can end hunger together,” saad niya.

Pinasalamatan din ni Nograles ang founding members ng ‘Pilipinas Kontra Gutom’ mula sa pribadong sektor kabilang na ang Coca-Cola, Dole Philippines, Johnson & Johnson Philippines, McDonald’s, Metrobank, at San Miguel Corporation.

Bumuo ng anim na technical working group ang task force na siyang magiging responsable sa pagsusuri at rasyonalisasyon ng mga polisiya, batas, at regulasyon, pagsisiguro sa suplay ng abot-kayang pagkain at sapat na nutrisyon, pagkakaroon ng sustinableng sistema sa pagkain, at iba pang mahahalagang aspeto na kailangang mabigyang tugon.
