Matapos ang ilang aberya, malugod na ibinahagi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na matutuloy na ang implementasyon ng opisyal na contact tracing app ng gobyerno o mas kilala bilang StaySafe.ph.

Ayon kay Sec. Roque, naresolba na umano ang lahat ng isyu sa naturang contact tracing app na naging dahilan ng pagkaantala sa paggamit nito.

“So, iyong usapin po na marami pang deliverables, tapos na po lahat iyan, and we have decided to go full speed ahead with Safety.ph,” pahayag ni Sec. Roque.

Dagdag pa niya, “All systems—StaySafe.ph. All systems go na po tayo.”

Nitong Mayo 4, matatandaang naglabas ng pahayag si Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong na hindi pa umano handang magamit ang contact tracing app na ito matapos tanggihan ng Department of Health ang paggamit nito dahil sa kakulangan sa karagdagang pag-aaral.

Bukod pa rito, hindi rin umano maaasahan ang tracker software na ginamit ng mga developer dahil hindi umano kumpleto ang isinumiteng dokumento ng mga ito.

“Ang StaySafe ho kasi talaga hong tinanggihan ho ng Department of Health dahil may nakita ho silang kakulangan. So, nangyari po, idinonate po ito sa DILG. Right now ho pinapag-aralan po ng DILG iyong StaySafe at iyong kanyang functionalities,” paliwanag ni Magalong.

Dagdag din niya, “Insofar as DILG is concerned, nasa study and learning status pa ho sila at talagang kulang pa ho iyong documentation na ibinigay po ng StaySafe kaya hindi pa ho natin makumpleto at masabing categorically na highly reliable na po itong StaySafe.”

Sa kabila nito, siniguro ni Sec. Roque na handa na ang lahat para sa implementasyon ng app na ito. Ginagamit na rin umano ng Department of the Interior and Local Government ang app na ito.

“Lahat po ng kontrobersiya sa app na ito ay natapos na,” ani Sec. Roque.
