Nakumpiska ang 25.7 kilong shabu na may PhP174.6-milyong street price ng mga operatiba ng Caloocan City Drug Enforcement Unit mula sa tatlong magkakapatid, ang isa’y menor de edad, sa Caloocan nitong Nobyembre 21.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-National Capital Region Regional Office, huli ang magkapatid na sina Kalif Latif, 24; at Akisah Latif, 18 sa ginawang drug buy-bust bandang 7:30 a.m. sa B30 L17 Phase 12 Brgy. 88 Tala, Caloocan.

Naligtas naman ang menor de edad nilang kapatid na itatago ang tunay na pangalan, 14 taon, sa ginawang operasyon.

Sinabi ng Caloocan City Police na ang panganay na Latif ay kasama sa watchlist ng mga kilalang drug personalities sa lungsod. Nangangalakal diumano ito ng ilegal na droga kasama ang mga nakababatang kapatid.

Nakapakete ang shabu sa Chinese tea na may tatak na “Qing Shan” at nakapaloob sa 44 transparent plastic bags. Sasailalim sa inquest proceedings ang dalawang Latif samantalang ibibigay naman sa City Social Welfare and Development Office ang menor de edad nilang kapatid.

Nagpahayag ng pagkatuwa si Philippine National Police Chief PGEN Debold M. Sinas sa matagumpay na operasyon at ipinag-utos sa district directors ng limang police districts sa Metro Manila ang mas agresibong anti-illegal drug operations laban sa mga kilalang drug personalities.
