Labintatlo ang patay, kabilang na ang pitong mga bata at anim na matatanda, matapos malunod sa loob ng sasakyan na nahulog sa irrigation canal sa Bulo Tabuk City, Kalinga nitong Abril 18 bandang 6:15 p.m.

Sa ulat, minamaneho ang Ford Everest SUV na may plate number na AAK9180 ni Soy Lope Agtula, 36, isang BJMP personnel ng Bontoc, Mt. Province na residente ng Cagubatan, Tadian, nang madulas at mahulog ito sa irrigation canal sa isang kurbadong porsyon ng kalsada.

Sa 15 sakay, dalawa lang ang nakaligtas na sina Edith Andiso Perez, 51, ng Purok 1 Bulanao Tabuk City, Kalinga; at Cyril Lope Agtulao, 10.

Patay ang drayber na si Agtulao kasama sina Judilyn Talawec Dumayom, 31; Alfredo Cutit Lope, 59; Remedios Longey Basilio, 56; Jessabel Basilio Paycao, 27; Sony Puking Lope, 22; Marlo Gel Perena, 6; Seadarn Talawec Dumayom, 5; Scarlet Basilio Paycao, 3; Jeslyn Talawec Paycao, 4; Cydwin Lope Agtulao, 6; Cyan Lope Agtulao, 4; at Ezverdrick Basilio Paycao, 4.

Naitakbo pa ang 11 sa mga ito sa Mija Kim Medical Center ngunit idineklara nang dead on arrival. Ganoon din ang dalawa pang naitakbo sa Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

Iniutos na ni PNP Chief Police General Debold M. Sinas ang imbestigasyon sa naturang insidente at pinaalalahanan ang HPG ng istriktong implementasyon ng anti-overloading.

Pinaalalahanan din ng PNP Chief ang mga motorista ng physical distancing protocol sa loob ng mapapubliko o mapapribado mang sasakyan.
