PRICE CEILING ITINAKDA SA COVID-19 TESTS PASILIDAD NA HINDI SUSUNOD, IPASASARA

Sa ilalim ng Executive Order No. 118, ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte nitong Miyerkules, Nobyembre 4, sa Department of Health (DOH) at Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) na magtakda ng kaukulang presyo na siyang pagbabasehan ng mga ospital, laboratoryo, at iba pang mga pasilidad pangkalusugan sa pagsasagawa ng Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) tests. 

Inatasan din ng Pangulo ang DOH at DTI na maglabas ng mga panuntunan tungkol sa pagtatalaga ng presyo ng naturang pagsusuri at siguruhin ang pagsunod dito ng nasabing mga pasilidad.

Nagbabala rin si Pangulong Duterte na maaaring bawian ng kanilang lisensya at hindi na payagang magsagawa ng COVID-19 tests ang mga hindi susunod sa nasabing utos.

Ayon pa sa nakasaad sa executive order, nararapat na patuloy na i-monitor ng dalawang Kagawaran ang presyo at suplay ng test kits at iba pang basic medical items sa merkado.

Matatandaang inirekomenda nitong Setyembre ng DOH sa Pangulo ang paglalabas ng executive order kaugnay sa mga pumutok na balitang sobrang mahal na singil na halaga ng ilang pasilidad para sa COVID-19 tests. Bagama’t hindi iminungkahi ng ahensya ang halagang dapat italaga para sa nasabing pagsusuri, nagsagawa ito ng survey upang malaman ang posibleng maging saklaw ng presyo nito.

Dahil sa kinakailangang sumailalim rin sa reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction o RT-PCR at antigen tests ang mga turistang nais bumisita sa mga pook pasyalan, umapela rin ang Department of Tourism na limitahan ang presyo ng nasabing mga pagsusuri.
