PRRD IPINAG-UTOS ANG PAGGAMIT NG GYMS, PAMPUBLIKONG PAARALAN BILANG COVID-19 VACCINATION HUBS

Ipinag-utos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa local government units (LGUs) na isagawa ang pagbabakuna laban sa Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) sa mga gymnasium at pampublikong paaralan. 

Sa kaniyang lingguhang public address, sinabi ng Pangulo noong Lunes, Pebrero 8, 2021, na mas maigi aniyang isagawa ang COVID-19 vaccination sa naturang mga lugar, sa halip na sa mga istasyon ng pulis, kagaya ng nauna niyang ipinag-utos. Ito ay dahil maaari aniyang hindi kayanin ng police stations ang bilang ng mga indibidwal na babakunahan. 

“Tingin ko, hindi magkasya kung ganoon lang so we’ll have to take in [the local officials]. They are the indispensable partners of the program. Sila na lang mamili sa mga gymnasiums. Kung kulang talaga, then my order is to utilize the public schools. Wala pa namang klase,” ani Pangulong Duterte. 

Gayunpaman, sinabi ng Pangulo na dapat na maging huling prayoridad o desisyon  ang paggamit sa mga pampublikong eskwelahan bilang vaccination sites. 

“If there is no malaking coliseum or gym, then we will utilize the public schools. That would be the — Kung maaari lang ‘wag muna,” saad ng Pangulo. 

Samantala, sinabi ng Pangulo na maaari pa ring magsilbing vaccination hubs ang mga istasyon ng pulis at mga kampo ng militar sa mga lugar na malalayo o mahirap maabot. 

“In the far-flung areas, if there is no suitable venue, then the military camps would suffice,” pahayag ng Presidente.

Binigyang-diin din ng pinuno ng bansa na ang mga pulis at militar, katuwang ang health professionals at uniformed nurses, ang siyang mamamahala sa distribusyon ng bakuna laban sa naturang virus.
