PRRD NAG-AERIAL INSPECTION SA MARIKINA, MALABON, RIZAL: ‘WALA KAMING TULOG DITO’

Magkasamang nagsagawa ng isang aerial inspection sina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Senator Christopher “Bong” Go nitong hapon upang personal na makita ang sitwasyon sa lungsod ng Marikina, Malabon, lalawigan ng Rizal at mga kalapit na probinsya na lubhang nasalanta dahil sa bagyong Ulysses.

Sa Facebook post ni Sen. Go, ipinahayag niya na tiniyak ng Pangulo na handang magamit ang lahat ng assets ng gobyerno, lalo na ang military, police at coast guard upang mailigtas ang mga kababayang humihingi ng saklolo.

Sa kanyang national address nitong hapon bago pa man ang aerial inspection, binigyang-diin rin ni PRRD sa publiko ang kahandaan ng local at national government sa oras ng matinding pagbaha at pagkawala ng kuryente dulot ng masungit na panahon.

“From the beginning, various government agencies have already been mobilized to respond to the situation on the ground. I renew my call on all local government units and concerned agencies to ensure that the well-being and the safety of our people remain the top priority,” pahayag ng Pangulo.

Kinontra rin ng Pangulo sa nasabing national address ang kritisismo ng ilang grupo na tinulugan diumano ng gobyerno ang trabaho nito. 

“May mga nagsasabi na walang ginagawa, natutulog. Wala kaming tulog dito,” ani Pangulong Duterte.

Binigyang-diin ng Pangulo na agad ang naging pagkilos ng local at national government mula nang matanggap ang advisory tungkol sa Bagyong Ulysses.
