PRRD NAMAHAGI NG RELIEF ASSISTANCE SA MGA BIKTIMA NG BAGYONG AURING SA SURIGAO DEL SUR

Personal na nagtungo si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Surigao del Sur upang masiguro ang mabilis na pagdating ng tulong at ang rehabilitasyon ng mga komunidad na naapektuhan ng nagdaang Bagyong Auring. 

Nagsagawa ng aerial inspection ang Pangulo sa mga partikular na lugar na tinamaan ng bagyo bago ito nagtungo sa situation briefing tungkol sa lawak ng pinsala na idinulot ng hagupit ng naturang bagyo sa lugar. 

Tinalakay rin sa nasabing briefing, na ginanap sa Tandag, Surigao del Sur, ang disaster relief efforts na isinasagawa para sa mga nasalanta ng Bagyong Auring. 

Ang nasabing briefing ay dinaluhan ng mga lokal na opisyal at ilang miyembro ng gabinete ng Pangulo, kabilang na sina Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista, Agriculture Secretary William Dar, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, at Budget Secretary Wendel Avisado.

Nauna nang inanunsyo ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles ang planong pagbisita ng Pangulo sa lugar. 

“Rest assured, government continues to closely monitor the situation, and preparedness and response measures are already in place,” pagtitiyak ni CabSec Nograles. 

Ang Bagyong Auring, na kauna-unahang bagyong pumasok sa bansa ngayong taon, ay nagdala ng matinding pag-ulan sa ilang bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao nitong mga nakaraang araw. Nagkaroon din ng matinding pagbaha sa Surigao del Sur matapos umapaw ang isang ilog doon. 

Ayon pa kay CabSec Nograles, nasa 29,008 na mga pamilya o 112,734 na mga indibidwal ang napinsala ng bagyo. 

“A total of 18,996 families or 69,682 individuals have been evacuated, and financial assistance has been extended to all those affected,” saad ng Kalihim.
