PRRD PINALAWIG ANG BISA NG BAYANIHAN 2, 2020 NAT’L BUDGET

Nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga batas na magpapalawig sa bisa ng 2020 budget ng bansa at ng pondo para sa Bayanihan to Recover as One Act o mas kilala sa tawag na Bayanihan 2, ang batas na naglalayong matugunan ang mga suliraning pangkalusugan at pang-ekonomiya na kinakaharap ng bansa sa gitna ng pandemya.

Pinirmahan ng Pangulo ang Republic Act (RA) No. 11519 noong Disyembre 29 ng nakaraang taon dahilan upang mapalawig ang bisa ng budget para sa Bayanihan 2 hanggang sa Hunyo 30, 2021. 

Inaprubahan na rin ng pinuno ng bansa ang RA No. 11520 na nagpapalawig sa validity period at availability ng P4.1 trilyong halaga ng 2020 National Budget ng bansa hanggang Disyembre 31 ng taong kasalukuyan.

Nauna nang sinertipikahan ng Pangulo bilang urgent ang naturang mga panukala. 

May P148 bilyon pang halaga sa ilalim ng Bayanihan 2 at ng 2020 budget ang hindi pa nagagamit P38 bilyon dito ang mula sa Bayanihan 2, at P110 bilyon naman ang galing sa 2020 budget.

Nag-expire na ang bisa ng 2020 budget noong Disyembre 31, 2020, samantalang hanggang noong Disyembre 19 lang ng nakaraang taon ang orihinal na bisa ng Bayanihan 2.
