PTFoMS ipinag-utos ang manhunt sa suspek sa pagpatay sa isang broadcaster

Inutusan ng Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) ang Philippine National Police (PNP) na paigtingin ang manhunt operations nito para kay Dante Encarnacion Tabusares, ang pangunahing suspek sa pagpatay sa broadcaster na si Eduardo Sanchez Dizon sa Kidapawan City. 

Sa isang memorandum na inisyu sa director ng Police Regional Office ng Soccsksargen (PRO-12) na si Brig. Gen. Michael John F. Dubria, iniutos ni PTFoMS Executive Director Joel Sy Egco ang pagbuo ng Special Tracker Teams upang mapabilis ang paghuli kay Tabusares kasama ng isa pang suspek na si Junell Potent alinsunod sa operational guidelines ng PTFoMS.

Ang kautusan ay ginawa matapos makipagpulong ang mga opisyal ng PTFoMS sa PRO-12 sa isang virtual meeting upang talakayin ang mga bagong updates tungkol sa pagpatay sa mga miyembro ng media sa rehiyon.

Upang takasan ang pagkakaaresto, naiulat na sumali umano si Tabusares sa Communist Party of the Philippines–New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) sa Arakan, North Cotabato.

“It is no surprise that Tabusares had sought sanctuary with the communist terrorist group. The NPA today is nothing more than a band of criminals and murderers. Tabusares will fit perfectly with the NPA,” saad ni Egco sa isang news release kahapon.

Si Tabusares ang tinitingnang mastermind sa pagpatay kay Dizon na isang kritiko ng investment scheme ng KAPA Community Ministry International bago ang kaniyang kamatayan. Si Tabusares ay ang local coordinator ng KAPA noong panahong ito. 

“He may cower behind his protectors but he will not evade justice for long. It is my solemn pledge to the family and colleagues of Ed Dizon that Tabusares will be brought to justice to answer for this heinous crime,” dagdag ni Egco.

Ipinangako naman nina South Cotabato provincial director Col. Henry Villar at Kidapawan City chief of police Lt. Col. Ramel Homilla kay Egco na mas dodoblehin pa nila ang kanilang pagsisikap upang matugis ang mga suspek sa pakikipagtulungan at tulong na din ng mga kakabit na ahensiya ng Task Force.
