Dahil sa tuluy-tuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19 kamakailan, nagpasya ang lungsod ng Quezon na muling ipatupad ang liquor ban sa siyudad bilang emergency measure nito sa naturang virus.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, tatagal ng dalawang linggo ang liquor ban sa siyudad at magiging epektibo ito ngayong Lunes, Marso 15 hanggang Marso 31.

“The drastic increase of cases is very alarming. We want to stop the transmission as early as now so that we no longer have to implement another nationwide lockdown,” ani Mayor Belmonte.

Nakapaloob din sa inilabas ng guidelines ng lungsod ng Quezon ang mahigpit na pagsunod ng publiko sa itinakdang curfew hours, pagsunod sa health protocols sa trabaho, gayundin ang paggamit ng Kyusi Pass digital contact tracing app.

Bukod pa rito, suspendido rin ang ilang establisyimento tulad ng fitness gym, spa, at internet cafes samantalang mahigpit ding ipatutupad ang pagsasara ng mga sari-sari store, palengke, at ng mga convenience store pagsapit ng 10:00 p.m.

Aprubado na rin ang muling paggamit ng quarantine passes sa mga barangay upang malimitahan ang paglabas ng mga residente.

Pinayuhan din ang overseas Filipino workers na mananatili sa mga hotel sa siyudad na makipag-ugnayan sa Office of the City Administrator para sa documentation at monitoring.

Kinakailangan din umanong makumpleto ang 14-day mandatory quarantine kahit pa nagnegatibo ang mga ito sa RT-PCR test.
