RED CROSS NILINAW NA HINDI ITO NAGBEBENTA NG MODERNA VACCINES

Nilinaw ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) na hindi nito ipinagbebenta ang mga Moderna COVID-19 vaccines nito, salungat sa ulat ng ilang news outlets. 

Ayon kay PRC governor Ma. Carissa Coscolluela, wala umanong inanunsyo si PRC chair Senator Richard Gordon na itinitinda nila ang mga bakuna. 

“The PRC is a humanitarian organization and is not in the business of selling any vaccines. It does not charge for anything that it got free,” pagbibigay-diin ni Coscolluela. 

Ang sinabi umano ni Gordon, ayon kay Coscolluela, ay nakakuha ang PRC ng Moderna vaccines at layunin nitong mabakunahan ang mga miyembro at donor na handang akuhin ang gastos sa bakuna na nagkakahalaga ng Php1,300 pati na ang administration fee at iba pang gastos na kaugnay ng pagpapabakuna. 

Kamakailan ay nag-issue ng emergency use authorization (EUA) ang Pilipinas sa Moderna vaccine. Nangangahulugan itong tanging ang pamahalaan lamang ang maaaring makakuha ng bakuna at hindi pa ito maaaring ibenta sa merkado.
