Inanunsyo ng Supreme Court (SC) na siyang tumatayong Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) ang desisyon nitong ibasura ang poll protest na inihain ng dating Senador Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. laban kay Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo dahil umano sa iregularidad na naganap sa halalan noong 2016.

“Out of 15 members of the tribunal who were present in today’s meeting, seven members fully concurred in the dismissal while eight concurred in the result,” saad ni SC spokesman Brian Keith Hosaka sa isang online briefing.

Dagdag ni Hosaka, ang desisyon ng tribunal sa PET Case No. 005 na siyang inihain ni Marcos laban kay Robredo ay nakatakdang i-upload sa website ng SC kapag available na ito.

Tumanggi namang magbigay ng pahayag ang tagapagsalita ni Marcos na si Victor Rodriguez dahil hindi pa umano nila natatanggap ang opisyal na kopya ng desisyon. 

“We shall issue our statement on the matter as soon as we have established the facts based on official document or pronouncement coming from the PET,” paliwanag niya.
