Isang key suspect sa September 16 kidnapping ng American-Filipino farmer na si Rex Triplitt ang timbog kahapon, Oktubre 27, ng Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG)-Mindanao Field Office sa Zamboanga City.

Sa tulong ng Police Regional Office 9 Intelligence Division, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, Military Intelligence Group 9, Regional Maritime Unit 9, at Zamboanga City Police Office ay huli si Anerson Tungayao sa baybayin ng Brgy. Arena Blanco na may bitbit pang diumanong M16 rifle.

Isang Abu Sayyaf sub-leader na kinilalang si Injam Yadah na target din ng operasyon ang nakaiwas naman sa mga operatiba.

Responsable diumano ang grupo nina Tungayao at Yadah sa pagdukot kay Triplitt sa Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte na na-rescue sa isang police-military operation noong Setyembre 30.

Sinabi ni PBGEN Jonel Estomo, PNP AKG Director, na planong mandukot muli ng grupo na napigil lang ng naturang operasyon.

Nagpapanggap diumano ang grupo na construction workers sa kidnapping, extortion, at iba pang kriminalidad, na karaniwang biktima ay mga businessmen sa Zamboanga Peninsula.
