TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS SA ILANG FOREIGN NATIONALS, NILUWAGAN NA

Sinimulan ng luwagan ng Pilipinas ang travel restriction nito sa ilang foreign nationals simula nitong Mayo 1 upang makatulong sa pagbangon ng ekonomiya ng bansa.

Sa kabila nito, mahigpit pa ring ipinatutupad ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases ang pagkakaroon ng valid visa bago makapasok ng bansa gayundin ang pagsasailalim sa testing at quarantine protocols para sa mga ito.

Bukod sa valid visa, kailangan din nilang iprisinta ang patunay ng kanilang pre-booked accommodation sa isang accredited quarantine hotel o facility na hindi bababa sa pitong araw. Sa ikaanim na araw, kailangang sumailalim sa COVID-19 testing ang mga dayuhan bilang parte ng kasalukuyang protocol  ng bansa.

Nilinaw din ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na kasali rin sa maximum capacity ng inbound passengers ang mga foreign nationals na nais pumunta sa Pilipinas.

Matatandaang nagpatupad ng travel restriction ang bansa sa foreign nationals nitong Marso 22 hanggang Abril 21 na kinalaunan ay pinalawig hanggang Abril 30, upang mapigilan ang pagkalat ng bagong variant ng COVID-19 sa bansa.

Inatasan na rin umano ang Bureau of Immigration na gumawa ng guidelines para sa maayos na implementasyon nito. Samantala, nanatili pa rin ang travel ban sa mga manggagaling mula India hanggang sa Mayo 14 bunsod na rin ng pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa naturang bansa kamakailan.
