Hindi na umano kailangan pang ipaliwanag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang desisyon nitong pribadong gawin ang pagbabakuna ng COVID-19 vaccine.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, handa umano si Pangulong Duterte na isa sa mga unang mabakunahan ng unang batch ng paparating na bakuna subalit aniya, hindi na umano kailangan pa itong isapubliko.

Katulad nina Queen Elizabeth II at asawa nitong si Prince Philip, magiging pribado rin ang gagawing pagbabakuna kay Pangulong Duterte.

“That’s his personal decision. I don’t think he has to explain,” maikling paliwanag ni Sec. Roque.

Mariin ding pinabulaanan ni Sec. Roque na nabigyan na ng bakuna si Pangulong Duterte kasama ang ibang miyembro ng kanyang security team at aniya “haka-haka” lamang ang mga ito.

Kaugnay nito, nagbabakasali ang pamahalaan na sa pamamagitan ng pagsasagawa ng press at public briefings ay mabawasan ang agam-agam ng publiko sa pagpapabakuna lalo pa’t inaasahang darating na sa susunod na buwan ang unang batch ng COVID-19 vaccine.

Samantala, nangako naman ang Palasyo na ipaaalam sa publiko ang estado ng pagbabakuna sa Pangulo.
