“ULYSSES”, ISA NANG GANAP NA BAGYO — PAGASA

Tuluyan nang naging bagyo ang severe tropical storm na “Ulysses” na may sukdulang hangin na 125 kilometers per hour (kph) mula sa nakaraang lakas nitong 110 kph at gustiness na aabot sa 155 km/h ayon sa huling ulat ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) kaninang alas onse ng umaga.

Papalapit na ang sentro nito sa mga probinsya ng Aurora at Quezon, at nasa 100 kilometro na hilaga ng Virac, Catanduanes kaninang alas otso ng umaga ayon sa ulat ng ahensiya. Bagama’t ang mata nito ay inaasahang hindi tatama sa kalupaan ng Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, at Camarines Sur, makakaranas pa rin ang mga nasabing lugar ng matinding sama ng panahon dahil sa pagdaan ng bagyo.

Itinaas na ang Signal Number 3 sa ilang sa mga probinsya ng Central at Southern Luzon kabilang na ang Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Catanduanes, at iba pa.

Nasa Signal Number 2 naman ang ilang parte ng Quirino at Nueva Vizcaya, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Marinduque, at iba pa, habang nasa Signal Number 1 ang Isabela, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Sur, at iba pa.
