Mapayapa ang naging unang araw ng Misa de Gallo sa ilang pangunahing siyudad sa bansa nitong Disyembre 16, ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP).

“Everything went well on Day 1, we expect it to be better on Day 2, and perhaps even perfectly best in the rest of the nine days until Christmas and through the New Year,” pahayag ni PNP Chief Police General Debold M. Sinas.

Ibinalita rin ng ahensya na epektibong nasunod ang mga ordinansa ng mga lokal na pamahalaan at polisiya ng mga Katolikong simbahan sa physical distancing at 30% max capacity para sa unang araw ng tradisyonal na 9-day novena.

Noong Linggo, Disyembre 13, ay nagkaroon ng dayalogo ang hepe ng PNP sa ilang opisyal ng Quiapo Basilica at Baclaran Church para sa seguridad at kaligtasan ng publiko ngayong holiday season.

May social-distancing patrollers ang kapulisan para siguruhin ang pagpapatupad ng physical distancing at paggamit ng face mask at shield sa mga churchgoer.
