Binuksan na ang unang off-site modular hemodialysis facility sa National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) nitong Mayo 5 ng DPWH.

Proyekto ang naturang pasilidad ng Task Force for Augmentation of Local/National Health Facilities at ng NKTI para sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19 na may kidney o renal problems at kinakailangang sumailalim sa regular na hemodialysis treatment.

Present sa turn-over ceremony sina DPWH Sec. Mark Villar, DPWH Task Force Head Usec. Emil Sadain, DOH Sec. Francisco Duque III, DOH Usec. Leopoldo Vega, NKTI Exec. Dir. Rose Marie Rosete-Liquete, IATF Chief Implementer Sec. Carlito Galvez, Jr., COVID-19 National Task Force Deputy Chief Implementer Sec. Vince Dizon, Presidential Spokesperson Sec. Harry Roque, at QC Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Mayroong 14 dialysis rooms, 2 isolation rooms, at 4 hepatitis rooms na kayang tumanggap ng hanggang 60 dialysis patients ang off-site facility na kinontrata ng Nationstar Development Corporation.

Gawa rin sa pre-fabricated panels ang modular hospital na may malalawak na hallways.

Kumpleto rin ito sa aircon, CCTV monitoring at paging system, nurse station, water treatment room, at generator set.

Tinapos din ng DPWH para sa NKTI ang isang modular dormitory na may 16 fully air-conditioned rooms na kayang magtao ng 32 frontliners. Mayroong double decks, toilet at bath na may water heater, air-conditioned hallways, living area, dining area, kitchen, at laundry areas para sa health workers ng NKTI ang lugar.


Anchored on its mantra, “Sentro ng Katotohanan, Tapat sa Mamamayan”, Balita Central Digital complements and supports the Balita Central newspaper published bi-monthly to combat fake news and to provide the public with easy-to-digest news bits that are sourced solely from the Presidency and government agencies. 

Balita Central is under the supervision of the Bureau of Communications Services (BCS), one of the attached agencies of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

Launched on February 28, 2019 at the Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2 (LRT-2) Cubao Station, Quezon City, it also aims to raise awareness among local communities about the policies, programs, and accomplishments of the Presidency. 

Through this platform, Balita Central Digital aims to reach further the online community to deliver more accurate information and communication services in order to educate the citizenry regarding national issues which would enlighten them to be engaged and be empowered in contributing to building a better nation.
