VOTER REGISTRATION SA NCR PLUS, IPAGPAPATULOY NGAYONG MAYO 17

“Beginning Monday, the Comelec (Commission on Elections) will be resuming registration in these areas, Mondays to Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.” 

Ito ang ipinahayag ni Comelec Executive Director Bartolome Sinocruz, Jr. kaugnay sa pagpapanumbalik ng pagpaparehistro ng mga botante sa NCR (National Capital Region) Plus para sa gaganaping halalan sa Mayo 2022.

Ito ay matapos mapasailalim ang NCR Plus, na kinabibilangan ng Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, at Rizal, sa  general community quarantine (GCQ) “with heightened restrictions” simula Mayo 15 hanggang 31 ng taong ito.

Una nang sinuspinde ang pagtatala ng mga botante sa nasabing mga lugar nang isailalim ang mga ito sa enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) mula Marso 29 hanggang Abril 11 at sa modified ECQ mula Abril 12 hanggang Mayo 14.

Dagdag pa ni Sinocruz, bubuksan din ang mga satellite registration center para sa overseas Filipino voters.

Makikipag-ugnayan din aniya ang Comelec sa iba’t ibang field registration centers ng mga tanggapan ng gobyerno, tulad ng  Overseas Workers Welfare Administration at Department of Foreign Affairs.

“We will need to coordinate with them, it will depend on the existing (situation), if they have their own lockdown procedures. But definitely, since the NCR has been downgraded to GCQ, I think it is time for them to open also,” saad ni Sinocruz.

Nagsimulang tumanggap ang Comelec ng mga magpaparehistro para sa Halalan 2022 noong Setyembre 1, 2020 at tatagal ito ng hanggang Setyembre 30 ngayong taon.

Ang mga nais maging botante ay maaaring makapagpatala sa lahat ng Offices of Election Officers  sa mga lungsod at munisipalidad sa bansa kung saan nila nais bumoto.

Layon ng Comelec na makapagparehistro ng nasa apat na milyong botante para sa napipintong halalan.
