Sinabi ni AFP Spokesperson Marine Major General Edgard Arevalo nitong Abril 3 na bukod sa nauna nang limang napaulat na konstruksyon sa Pagkakaisa Banks—kung saan dalawa sa mga ito ay itinayo ng China, at tatlo naman ng Vietnam—wala nang namataan pang bagong tayong istruktura sa nasabing lugar.

Ito’y matapos magpahayag ng labis na pag-aalala ang AFP sa patuloy na pananatili ng Chinese vessels sa Julian Felipe Reef na parte ng Pagkakaisa Banks sa kabila ng panawagan ng Pilipinas na lisanin na ng mga naturang barko ang lugar.

Siniguro naman ng AFP na 24/7 ang monitoring sa WPS ng land, air, at maritime patrols ng militar.

“We will remain unrelenting in providing pertinent data to the DND and the NTF-WPS as to the situation that impinges on our sovereignty and our enjoyment of our sovereign rights,” pahayag ng AFP Spokesperson.
