Personal na tinanggap ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang nasa isang milyong doses ng Sinovac vaccines nang dumating ito bandang 4:00 p.m. ng Marso 29 sa Villamor Airbase sa Pasay.
Kasama ng Pangulo sina Senador Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III, National Task Force Against COVID-19 Chief Implementer at Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr., at Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian.
Naayos na noon pang Marso 26 ng BOC-Port of NAIA sa pamamagitan ng One Stop Shop Advance Clearance procedure nito ang pagdating ng fifth batch ng COVID-19 vaccines. Sa kabuuan, nasa 2.5-milyon nang doses ang naproseso ng port.
Nasa MetroPac Cold Storage Facility sa Marikina City ngayon ang mga vaccine habang hinihintay ang distribusyon sa buong Pilipinas.
“We are expecting the delivery of around 1.5 to 4 million of the remaining procured doses from SINOVAC by April and May 2021 together with the additional 979,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the WHO-led COVAX facility. The remaining 24 million CoronaVac doses procured by the national government are scheduled to arrive in the following months,” pahayag ni Sec. Galvez.
