Boluntaryong sumuko si Ka Redy, 25, nang malamang naaresto ang nakababatang kapatid na si Ka Anda, 17, kasama ang dalawang armadong iba pa sa Northern Samar. Si Ka Anda ay isa sa child warriors na napasama sa CPP-NPA sa murang edad.

Siniguro ni PNP Chief Sinas na makakatanggap ng tulong ang dalawang magkapatid sa ilalim ng Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) ng gobyerno na ginawa para sa rebel returnees at kani-kanilang pamilya.
