Nakumpiska ang iba’t ibang high-powered firearms, ammunition, at explosives sa raid ng Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) at CALABARZON local police units sa CPP-NPA Special Partisan Unit armory nitong Marso 30 bandang 6:30 a.m. sa Brgy. Market Area Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Charito M. Macalintal-Sawali, Presiding Judge ng RTC Br. 66 Tanauan City, Batangas ang naturang armory dahil sa paglabag sa RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) at RA 9516 (An Act Further Amending the Provisions of PD No. 1866, as Amended, Entitled Codifying the Laws on Illegal/Unlawful Possession, Manufacture, Dealing In, Acquisition or Disposition of Firearms, Ammunition or Explosives or Instruments Used in the Manufacture of Firearms, Ammunition or Explosives) ng isang Maritess Santos David alyas “Teacher Laly”.
“The discovery of this clandestine communist terrorist armory bolsters earlier assessment by CIDG that the CPP-NPA is maintaining staging areas and weapons storage in CALABARZON for its urban hit squads to launch attacks in Metro Manila,” pahayag ni PNP Chief Police General Debold M. Sinas.
