Magtatayo ng panibagong modular hospital ang DPWH sa Zamboanga City para dagdagan ang kapasidad ng lugar sa COVID-19 treatment ngayon na may paglobo rito ng kaso ng virus. 

Nasa design proposal ang isang unit na off-site hospital na may 22 beds para sa moderate hanggang severe COVID-19 cases, at 16-room dormitory para sa 32 health workers.

Itatayo sa compound ng Mindanao Central Sanitarium Hospital sa Pasobolong, Zamboanga City ang modular unit.

Simula pa Mayo 8 ay nasa ilalim na ng MECQ ang Zamboanga City.

Nauna nang nakapagbigay ang DPWH sa Zamboanga City LGU ng dalawang tent facilities na may 20 beds at aircons, lighting, ventilation, potable water source, at sewer line para sa isolation ng mga asymptomatic.

Sa kasalukuyan ay ginagawa na ring isolation o quarantine facility ng DPWH ang lumang Zamboanga Convention Center sa Pasonanca na magkakaroon ng 180 beds.
