Inanunsyo ng Department of Health (DOH) na umabot na sa 85 porsyento ng bilang ng healthcare workers sa bansa ang nabakunahan na laban sa Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Ayon kay DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, nasa 1,340,337 healthcare workers na ang nakatanggap ng kanilang unang dose ng COVID-19 vaccine, samantalang nasa 581,797 naman ang nakumpleto na ang dalawang dose ng naturang bakuna.
Saad ni Health Undersecretary Cabotaje, karamihan sa natitirang 15 porsyento ng bilang ng healthcare workers na hindi pa nababakunahan ay nakadestino sa mga probinsya.
“Ang karamihan po iyong mga nasa probinsiya, kailangan natin pong hikayatin iyong ating mga barangay health workers, iyong ating mga members ng ating Barangay Health Emergency Response Team, medyo nag-aatubili pa sila. So, kailangan talagang kumbinsihin, these are mostly in the provinces and in the regions,” pahayag ng opisyal sa isang public press briefing.
Dagdag pa ni Cabotaje, nasa 97 porsyento na ng bilang ng healthcare workers sa National Capital Region ang nabigyan na ng nasabing bakuna.
