Pinangalanan ngayong araw si PNP Deputy Chief for Administration Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar bilang officer-in-charge (OIC) ng Philippine National Police (PNP) matapos magpositibo si PNP Chief Gen. Debold Sinas sa COVID-19.
“Following the unfortunate incident wherein our Chief PNP, Gen. Debold M. Sinas, tested positive for coronavirus, I was designated as the OIC (officer-in-charge) PNP as a matter of protocol,” paliwang ni Eleazar.
Ayon sa kaniya, siya muna ang magiging responsable sa mga mahahalagang gawain ng PNP habang naka-isolate at nagpapagaling si Sinas mula sa virus.
“Right now, the Chief PNP is doing well, and I am in constant communication with him for consultation, especially on matters that require his attention and guidance,” saad niya.
Nabanggit din niyang ipinagdarasal niya at ng buong PNP ang paggaling ni Sinas.
“Amid this development, the PNP leadership renews a call for members of the organization and the general public to continue strictly observing health safety protocols. The threat of coronavirus remains and in fact, we have been observing an upsurge of Covid-19 cases in the past days as reported by the DOH. Thus, we should all be vigilant for our protection, and the protection of our families,” dagdag niya.
Kahapon ay inanunsyo ni Brig. Gen. Ildebrandi Usana na positibo si Sinas sa COVID-19 matapos itong sumailalim sa swab test para sana sa biyahe nito papuntang Palawan.
