Tumakas umano si Sampani papuntang Quezon Province para magtago nang maisyu ang kanyang warrant of arrest ngunit itinakwil ito ng CPP-NPA dahil sa isang sexual offense sa isa ring miyembro na nagngangalang “Ka Venus”.
Bumalik siya sa Negros kung saan nasangkot siya sa isang gun-for-hire group, hit jobs, gun running, at land grabbing.
