Patay ang mag-amang parehong most wanted persons sa isang intelligence operation ng PNP matapos makipagbarilan sa mga pulis sa katubigan ng Brgy. Sipangkot Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi bandang 4:00 a.m. nitong Mayo 9.

Tigok sina Girang Lipae na Top 5 Regional Most Wanted Person ng PRO BAR at Basil Lipae alyas “Botchoy” na Top 2 Most Wanted Person ng Languyan MPS.

Aarestuhin sana ng mga operatiba ang mag-ama sa bisa ng warrant of arrest na inisyu ni RTC 9th Judicial Region Br. 5 Bongao, Tawi-Tawi Presiding Judge Hakim Abdulwahid dahil sa kasong multiple murder nang mauna diumano ang mga itong magpaputok nang maramdaman ang paglapit ng mga pulis.

Nagtagal ng nasa limang minuto ang palitan ng putok na ikinamatay ng mag-ama kasama ang isang hindi pa nakikilalang babae.

Nakuha sa bahay ng mga suspek ang isang M1 Garand, isang cal.38 pistol, isang FN FAL cal.7.62 rifle, isang FN FAL loaded magazine, 19 pcs cal.7.62 live ammunitions, at tatlong cal.38 live ammunitions.

Ayon sa PNP, notorious ang mag-ama sa Tawi-Tawi dahil sa diumano’y pagiging sangkot ng mga ito sa pagpasok ng iligal na droga mula Sabah, Malaysia.

“As a new chapter of leadership unfolds in the PNP, I will make sure that we will further intensify our campaign against all wanted persons across the country even if they hide in the smallest far-flung area, we will hunt them down and put them behind bars,” pahayag ni PNP Chief PGEN Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar.
