MGA ALKALDE, GOBERNADOR, KABILANG NA SA VACCINE PRIORITY LIST NG GOBYERNO

Kabilang na sa Priority List A1 ng national vaccination plan ng gobyerno ang local chief executives (LCEs) matapos maaprubahan nitong Mayo 15 ang apela ng The League of Cities of the Philippines na isali ang mga ito sa listahan.

Kabilang sa LCEs ang mga gobernador at alkalde na ayon kay Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje ay magiging kabilang na sa Priority Group A1.5 ayon sa bisa ng Advisory No. 40 mula sa National COVID-19 vaccination operations center.

Ayon kay LCP President at Bacolod City Mayor Bing Leonardia, kailangang kabilang sa A1 priority list ang mga pinuno ng lokal na pamahalaan sapagkat sila rin umano ang namumuno sa kani-kanilang Local Health Board pati na rin sa kanilang Local Task Force Against COVID-19.

“Such a move recognizes the important role of LCEs in the success of the country’s vaccination program. We commit to reciprocate the trust and confidence of the IATF  to city mayors with more active and responsive vaccination efforts in our respective localities,” ani Mayor Leonardia.

Dahil dito, mababakunahan na ang mahigit 1,600 gobernador at alkalde sa buong bansa.

Noong nakaraang buwan, nabakunahan na ang ilang alkalde at gobernador na kabilang sa critical at high risk areas.
