Patay ang isa sa mga pinagkakatiwalaang bombers ng Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) sa isang intelligence operation ng PNP sa Basilan nitong Hunyo 5 bandang 2:30 a.m.

Hahainan sana ng warrant of arrest dahil sa kasong murder na inisyu ni Presiding Judge Leo Jay Principe ng RTC 9th Judicial Region Br. 1 Isabela City, Basilan si Aroy Ittot alyas “Oroy” nang makipagbarilan gamit ang M16 rifle sa mga pulis.

Top Priority Target ng PRO BAR si Ittot, na sangkot sa roadside bombing noong 2018 ng convoy ni Mayor Durie Kalahal ng Tuburan, Basilan.

Sangkot din ang suspek sa harrassment diumano ng grupo ni Mayor Ibrahim Ballaho ng Mohammad Ajul, Basilan habang nagsasagawa ng community service sa Tuburan.

May koneksyon din diumano si Ittot sa mga lokal na ASG bombers sa Basilan na sangkot sa pagsusunog ng sasakyan at pambobomba sa Brgy. Colonia Lamitan City, Basilan, at ilan pang roadside bombings gamit ang IED sa probinsya.

Nakuha sa lugar ng engkwentro ang isang M16 rifle na may S/N RP195453; isang M14 rifle na may S/N 175541; apat na M16 magazines; limang M14 magazines; apat na grenade rifles M76; tatlong grenade rifles M75; 1.5-litro ng ANFO na hinihinalang gamit sa IED; isang M16 na gamit nang cartridge case; bandoliers; at cellphones.
