Iniulat ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) nitong Sabado, Abril 17, na tumaas sa 11,142 ang bilang ng Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) na naka-recover mula sa COVID-19 noong nakaraang linggo.

Sa huli nitong case bulletin, sinabi ng ahensya na nasa 5,884 ang active cases sa kasalukuyan habang ang death toll ay tumaas sa 1,115.

Mula noong Abril 11-17, nakapagtala ang DFA ng 1,059 na bagong infections at 47 na pagkamatay.

Naitala rin nito ang pinakamataas na bilang ng infections na 889 noong Abril 13 dahil sa pagtaas ng mga kumpirmadong kaso sa Middle East. 

“Compared to last week’s percentages, the total number of Covid-19 fatalities and under treatment saw a slight decrease to 6.15 percent and 32.43 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, those who recovered increased to 61.42 percent,” paliwanag ng ahensya.

Pinakamataas sa bilang ng active cases sa bawat rehiyon noong nakaraang linggo ang mga rehiyon ng Middle East at Africa na may 3,828, na sinundan ng Asia Pacific region na may 1,058, habang ang Europe ay may 911 na kaso, at ang America na may 87 na kaso.
