Target buksan sa mga motorista itong Hunyo 2021 ang PhP1.793-bilyong BGC-Ortigas Center Road Link Project ng DPWH.
Balak tapusin ng DPWH ang natitira pang civil work sa four-lane, two-way Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge na major component ng proyekto.
Sumasailalim pa rin sa finishing touches ang median barrier, parapet, at street light ng buong tulay sa may Pasig River.
“I’m happy to announce that soon, we can open the bridge for our motorists once the up and down ramps near Kalayaan Avenue are fully completed,” pahayag ni DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar.
Mula isang oras, magiging 12 minuto na lang ang travel time dahil sa 1.367 kilometrong BGC-Ortigas Road Link Project kasama ang Lawton Avenue-Global City Viaduct.
Sa kabilang banda, ratsada na rin ang rehabilitation at widening sa ilang parte ng Brixton Street corner Reliance hanggang Fairlane Street.
Sa Lawton Avenue hanggang Kalayaan Section, natapos na ang paglalagay ng steel deck na may prestressed concrete girder mula Pier 8 hanggang 18. Tuluy-tuloy rin ang fabrication at installation ng reinforcements para sa prestressed girder, fabrication ng rebar cage, at embankment ng daan papuntang 8th Avenue hanggang sa dulo ng proyekto sa BGC.
