Naharang ng Bureau of Customs-Manila International Container Port (BOC-MICP) ang kahun-kahong smuggled cigarettes na nagkakahalagang PhP60 milyon galing Tsina noong Oktubre 12-13.
Dumating ang nasabing kargado noong Setyembre 30 na ayon sa tala ay imported ng isang Ocean World Enterprises. Deklarado ang mga karton na furniture, bag, at iba pa. Laman pala ng container ang 500 cases at 1,198 boxes ng sigarilyo.
Labing-isa pang shipments na pinaghihinalaang smuggled cigarettes ang iniimbestigahan pa. Samantala, haharap naman sa paglabag sa Sec. 1400 at Sec. 1113 ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, Bureau of Internal Revenue guidelines at regulations, at National Tobacco Authority memoranda ang importer. Iniimbestigahan din ang iba pang shipments na galing sa parehong importer.
