Pinahintulutan na ng pamahalaan ang mga residente ng Metro Manila at mga karatig- lugar nito na makabiyahe patungo sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
Sinabi ni Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat noong Martes, Hunyo 1, 2021, na ayon sa resolusyon na inilabas ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, pinapayagan na ang pagbiyahe para makapagbakasyon sa pagitan ng National Capital Region Plus (NCR Plus) — na kinabibilangan ng Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, at Laguna — at MGCQ areas.
Walang age restrictions ang naturang pasya ng IATF ngunit kinakailangan pa ring sumailalim sa Coronavirus disease 2019 o COVID-19 test ang mga magnanais na bumiyahe.
“Allowed na ang interzonal, pero kinakailangan po point-to-point lamang. Wala po siyang age restrictions, pero meron pong testing-before-travel requirement,” paliwanag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
Nakapailalim sa general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions o mas mahigpit na uri ng GCQ ang NCR Plus mula Hunyo 1 hanggang 15, 2021.
