PAGTAAS NG KASO SA ILANG PARTE NG BANSA, ‘MANAGEABLE’ AYON SA COVID-19 TREATMENT CZAR

Sa kabila ng naitalang pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa ibang bahagi ng bansa, ibinahagi ni COVID-19 Treatment Czar Leopoldo Vega na “manageable” pa umano ang mga ito subalit iginiit niya na kailangan pa ring sundin ang minimum health standards at mapaigting ang vaccination rollout ng bansa.

“Manageable, pero kailangan talaga nating ipatupad ang minimum health standards natin. Kasi napansin namin, once there is a break of level of compliance dito sa local government units, ‘dun mo mapapansin talaga ang pag-rise,” ani Health Undersecretary Vega.

Ayon sa Department of Health, kapansin-pansin ang pagtaas ng kaso sa Western Visayas, Negros Oriental, Dumaguete, Northern, Western, at Southern Mindanao.

Ikinaalarma ng DOH ang naitalang kaso sa Mindanao kung saan nagmula ang 25 porsyento ng bagong kaso ng COVID-19 nitong nagdaang linggo.

Sa pahayag ni Usec. Vergeire, naungusan na ng Mindanao ang Metro Manila sa dami ng bagong kaso samantala kinakitaan din ng pagtaas ng kaso ang ilang lugar sa labas ng NCR bubble.

Nagpadala na umano ng karagdagang health workers ang DOH sa mga apektadong lugar subalit inamin ni Usec. Vega na nananatiling kulang ang karagdagang staff.

Aniya, 78 porsyento pa lamang ang napupunan ng ahensya sa sampung libong bakanteng posisyon nito.

“If they’ll be hired as medical doctors, they will have the same salary grade. Although ang plantilla position, ‘di naman talaga permanent, but these are job orders,” pahayag ni Usec. Vega.

Sa kasalukuyan, nakapagbigay na ng 5.38 milyong bakuna ang bansa kontra COVID-19. Sa bilang na ito, 4,088,422 ang tumanggap ng first dose habang 1,293,750 naman ang nakatanggap na ng kumpletong bakuna.
