Kinilala na ng PNP ang isang person of interest sa likod ng napaulat na pagbebenta ng vaccine pati slots nito na gamit ang COVID-19 vaccine program ng pamahalaan.
Lumabas sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng CIDG at ACG na inalok diumano ng person of interest ang kaibigan nito sa high school ng dalawang brand ng vaccine sa isang social media messaging app.
Nasa PhP12,000 hanggang PhP15,000 ang presyo diumano ng naturang person of interest, na nagsasabi ring may “contacts” siya sa San Juan at Mandaluyong LGUs.
Nagpakita rin diumano ito ng deposit slips bilang patunay ng mga nakaraan na niyang transaksyon.
Naiulat din na deactivated na ang social media accounts ng person of interest, ngunit patuloy pa rin ang paggulong ng imbestigasyon sa kaso.
“Your PNP would like to reiterate that the COVID-19 vaccination is free and any attempt to engage in selling the vaccines or vaccination slots, or be beneficiaries of these illegal activities, will only put you in trouble,” babala ni PNP Chief PGEN Guillermo T. Eleazar.
