Hindi nakaligtas sa pinakahuling random drug tests ang tatlong Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel, kabilang na ang isang graduating cadet ng PNP Academy kasunod ng utos ni PNP Chief PGEN Debold M. Sinas na isailalim sa drug test ang Class of 2021 matapos ang insidente ng pambubugbog sa isang miyembro ng Cadet Corps nitong Bagong Taon.
Ipinag-utos na ng PNP Chief ang agarang imbestigasyon at summary dismissal proceeding kina Cadet 1st Class John David Macagba ng PNPA, Patrolman Christian Laganzon ng Ligao City Police Station, at NUP Giovanni Adulta ng Tabaco City Police Station.
Sa 260 graduating cadets, bukod tanging si Macagba lang ang nagpositibo sa shabu. Hindi kasama sa drug test ang biktima ng pambubugbog at isa pang kaibigan nito na pareho pang nasa ospital.
Samantala sa Bicol Region, sa 8,067 PRO5 personnel, nagpositibo sina Laganzon at Adulta na inilipat na sa Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Service para siguruhing makakaharap sila sa imbestigasyon.
Inalisan na rin ng tsapa at binawian na ng baril si Laganzon.
Simula Hulyo 2016, 438 PNP personnel na ang nagpositibo sa droga kung saan 382 sa mga ito ang despatsado na samantalang 39 ang pending pa ang kaso.
